Adega do Cartaxo - A millenary terroir Founded in 1954, this winery has solid roots in the Tejo Wines region where wine production has existed since the 10th century. With a strong network of more than 200 multi-generation family companies, Adega do Cartaxo, currently, has a social area of 800 hectares and annually produces around 10 million liters, with red wines representing around 80% of the production. Located in the very heart of Portugal, on the right bank of the famous Tejo River and just a short drive from Lisbon, Adega do Cartaxo benefits from this specific and unique terroir.
