Rías Baixas D.O. was established in 1988 *Location:In the region of Galicia in northwestern Spain . *Surface: 4.321 hectares . *Number of Wineries: 177 *Number of Grape Growers: 4.999 * The soils are alluvial over granite. *Climate: Maritime, dominated by the Atlantic Ocean. *Grape Varieties: Mainly white: Albariño (95%) of all plantings, Treixadura , Loureira, caiño, torrontés and godello. Red wines:caiño, espadeiro, loureira,sousón,mencía,brancellao, pedral and castaña.
