AYAMA WINES - SLENT FARMS

Italian passion for fine wine and conservation are inseparable elements of Slent, our historic mountainside farm, home of Ayama wines. We learnt about South African soils, grape cultivars, local cultures and more. We remain friends with the local baboon troop even as they devise strategies for a share of our Shiraz grapes. In November 2014 we planted the FIRST Vermentino in South Africa with great results. Our main focus remains Chenin and Pinotage. We make also Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Shiraz, Petite Sirah and Carignan. This farm is a special piece of paradise in the Western Cape.
